Been a while, sorry.
anyway, some pics of my motor in bits....
replaced the cylinder head gasket, cleaned the heads and valves, new fork legs. yada yada.
Bike is running great now, still some kinks to be ironed out, but I hardly expected it to be without teething troubles.

It's done!
So I just spent the last 10 hours straight on the bike...
It's done.
Ripped it around the block a few times.....felt...really good.
Pics tomorrow.

Another Update.
So here is where the bobber stands.
I've mocked up the rear light and bracket for the plate.
They're elemental and ugly and bone simple, just like
the rest of the bike.
The bodywork is painted to my satisfaction,
I may stencil something down the spine of the tank,
haven't decided for sure.
Waiting for a dry day to enamel coat the exhaust
system, undediced on whether I will wrap the
headers or not.
I've done some more work on the seat foam since
these photos were taken, to smooth out the top line of
the bike, the tank now blends into the seat pretty
much seamlessly.
Other than that I just need to plate it, insure it, ride it.

Street Trackers.
So I think I have another build on my hands... Canadian winters suck, and since my "winter project" is due for completion some time around September, I just may have to nudge my daily rider in the street tracker direction. Pics below of some street trackers from around the web.

Status update.
this is what the chop looked like as of yesterday,
-zip disc to the passenger pegs,
-masked for touch up paint.
tremclad is a wonderful thing.
didn't pull the motor cause it doesnt need work and i could do what i needed to without pulling it...
no sand blasting or powder coating on this bike. lean mean and cheap.
the only money into it so far is on paint and steel wool so i'm happy about that.
still need to:
- fill and paint the tank
- ceramic coat the exhaust
- build a seat pan
- figure my lights and plate out

Brat Style
Brat Style is a builder/shop from japan who specializes in small-bore Japanese customs (typically Sr400/500s). What makes Brat Style unique is that on almost all the bikes built, the rear suspension and swing arm are left intact. It's amazing how tight and clean these bikes look, even though they aren't hardtails. I love what's happening in the custom scene in Japan right now and Brat Style is no exception.
